Sandy Jacobs has been playing duplicate bridge for over fifty years, since she was a teenager. She comes from a bridge playing family, her mother having played social and duplicate bridge until she was 98. Hardly a week passes by that she does not play bridge, whether in the U.S or in a foreign country; she points out that most phones books list “Bridge Clubs” in the yellow pages and welcome visitors. Sandy and her husband, Gene, have been coming to Boca Grande since 1985 and are now permanent residents.

“Every hand is a new experience offering challenges and a chance to stretch the mind to find a logical solution.”
