My first fascination with bridge was coming home from school and observing my mother’s bridge group (a BIG loss was fifty cents). I then played bridge with my college roommates sitting outside the dining hall waiting for the doors to open. Definitely “college bridge”, but it was fun. I played party bridge with friends as young marrieds. Then, after going back to school, I started duplicate, which is my real bridge love. I used to attend tournaments with three of my St. Louis female friends, and we had such fun and picked up some master points. Now BGDBC is my opportunity to play duplicate, and I am grateful that the club makes it possible.

Because I am here year round, I have made friends and enjoyed dup in Punta Gorda during the summer. A pleasant facility and wonderful people.
